Can Operations have a non traditional shape

Operations....Well, we know what you have read, I am pretty sure what you have been told but here is a curve ball for you.

It is nebulous, it is gray, it takes shape based on your surroudings. When you think you have it figured out, the consumer, economy and even insecure leadership may take your perfectly designed (in your own mind anyway) process and give it a whirl.

Make peace with it either quickly or over a reasonable amount of time as you will need to acknowledge a word like, "change" or "emalgamation" etc.

A dynamic pile of clay that delivers results and can be what you want it to be is a lot more accepting and fun to work with that what you thought was a more militant way of managing.

Who said the square peg always has to fit in a square hole? No peg, no hole just space and creativity to get things done all within a timeline, budget and people at the forefront of your formula.

Sandboxes are meant to be played in and not be used as jail cells. The quicker you grasp that piece , the less angst you will go through in your professional career.
